shipping

where do you ship?
united states only for now. orders ship from austin, texas in 1–3 business days. tracking comes by email.

how much is shipping?
free on orders over $50. low rates below that.

do you ship internationally?
not yet. it's on the list.

the candles themselves

what's in them?
8oz fill of virgin coconut soy wax, 10% fragrance load, cotton wick (lead-free), 9oz glass vessel. high-quality fragrance oils sourced from a texas-based supplier. no parabens, phthalates, or surprises.

how long do they burn?
about 30 hours per candle. burn in 2–4 hour sessions, trim the cotton wick to 1/4 inch before each light, and you'll get the cleanest burn. that's roughly 10–15 sessions before the wax is gone.

how big are they?
3.5 inches tall, 2.9 inches across the top. 9oz glass vessel, 8oz wax fill. fits on a nightstand, a bookshelf, the back of a tub.

are they vegan? cruelty-free?
yes to both.

gifts

do you offer gift wrap?
not yet. but we like to think the box it ships in is gift-worthy.

can i ship directly to the recipient?
yes. just enter their address at checkout. we won't include a packing slip with prices when you select "this is a gift."

do you do bundles?
yes — see our bundles collection. mother's day trio, austin sundays set, housewarming pair.

returns

can i return a candle?
if your candle arrives damaged, email hello@failedhobbies.com within 7 days with a photo and we'll replace it. we don't accept returns on candles that have been used.

what if i don't love the scent?
email us. we'd rather know than have you put it on a shelf and forget about it. we'll work something out.

where are you based?
austin, texas. women-owned. hand-poured locally.

do you have a storefront?
